Three spanish clusters have been selected by the EC for
the EU-US bilateral meeting
The European Commission, through the Executive Agency for
SMEs in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network , has organized on 25th and 26th April at the Hannover Messe, the world's
biggest industrial fair, a meeting among 25 leading European clusters in the
sectors of energy, environment and industry with their counterparts in the
The Energy Cluster of Valencia Region and two more
clusters from Spain (Energy Basque Cluster and Galician Food Cluster) will
attend this event invited by the European Commission. This meeting aims to
exchange good practices and to create an environment conducive to the formation
of collaboration consortia among European and American companies.
This year's partner country is the United States, and
will bring to the Fair an important institutional delegation led by President
Mr. Barack Obama, who is expected to be accompanied by the largest U.S.
manufacturing delegation ever to appear at the world's largest industrial trade
show and will open the exhibition on April 25th along with
Chancellor Mrs. Angela Merkel. For his part, the US Deputy Secretary of
Commerce, Mr. Bruce Andrews, will participate in the meeting among clusters.
This event will promote bilateral meetings among the
European and American participating clusters, and it will be useful for
exchanging good practices and presenting the tools that the European Commission
makes available to clusters and SMEs to facilitate collaboration with the United
States. It will also try to create a favourable environment for cooperation and

the North American participant clusters.
